Speaking of cool, did you see MainStayPro's film of a scene from the book? They're the ones who did that awesome book trailer for WHAT'S LEFT OF ME, and I was so excited to see them tackle a scene. It's not really spoiler-y, so you can watch it even if you haven't read the book, though it's extra-cool if you have!
(for whatever reason, the video isn't embedding right anymore, so here's the link!)
What else have I been up to? Well, I went and did a school visit at my old middle school, which was awesome. I love doing school visits, and it was especially cool to roam familiar halls again.
They had a cake for WHAT'S LEFT OF ME and everything!! LOVE it.
While I was in Georgia, I did a Barnes & Nobles event in Alpharetta. Thank you to everyone who came! It was so much fun :) I'll be doing a sort of "behind-the-scenes/Book Events from an Author's POV" post on Pub Crawl tomorrow, so be sure to check it out if you're interested!
Finally, last weekend, I was at the Southern Festival of Books, where I got to be on a panel with Jeff Hirsch and Julianna Baggott! How cool is that? I also got to see Sarah Maas and Savannah Foley again, which is always awesome, as well as meet a ton of other authors and bloggers. I have more pictures, but unfortunately they're on my phone, which I don't have with me right now, so I'll have to just give you guys what pictures I can find on my computer!
Oh, wait, here's one more picture--I'll leave you with it and a story copied from my Facebook page:
"So, my friend and I were driving around last night in a part of town we don't usually visit when all of a sudden I saw a Books-A-Million out the window.
HER: Um. Okay.
So we went. And happy day, they had WHAT'S LEFT OF ME in stock (under "Best in Teen," too!), so she got me to pose with some, and then I signed stock for the store :)
And that, folks, is the story of Kat's first time ever in a Books-A-Million. Lol. Now I just need to visit a Waterstones when I'm in the UK this summer!"
