A Kinda-Blog

I swear there is some secret law of the universe that time bends weirdly around the time of one's book release. It's almost been 2 weeks since WHAT'S LEFT OF ME released in the US (UK release was last week, and the Aussie release is tomorrow, yay!).

What? Two weeks already?

But what a two weeks it's been! Crazy, I'll have you know. Absolutely crazy :P So you'll have to excuse me if I don't have a real post for you today and instead throw up a bunch of self-indulgent pictures of WHAT'S LEFT OF ME in various stores that made me super excited when I saw them. I swear we'll get back to our regularly scheduled blogging soon. Also, if you're waiting on an email from me (especially an interview!), I swear I will reply as soon as I am able. Bit backlogged! Sorry!!

If you're not in the mood for self-indulgent pictures, here are some fun links:

I did another "post-in-GIFs" for Figment about balancing life as a college student and life as a writer
(here's my first "post-in-GIFs" about the process from idea to final draft)

Figment also has a (super) short story contest going on that's WHAT'S LEFT OF ME related. You can win an awesome art set :) And the prompt is really broad--you don't have to have actually read WLoM.

In case you didn't hear me shouting it on the twitter-sphere, MainStayPro, the company that did the awesome trailer for WHAT'S LEFT OF ME, is going to be releasing a (short) short film about it soon! I'll let you guys know as soon as I have more info.

Okay, now for the pictures!

This is from the Barnes & Nobles next to my school. I literally did a double-take when I walked by and saw it.

Someone tweeted me this picture of WHAT'S LEFT OF ME at their Walmart! I hadn't even known it was being sold there :)

Again, a twitter pic, but look at WLoM hanging out under that "Recommended" sign ;)

And finally, yesterday, I had the lovely opportunity to have an event/signing with fellow HarperCollins author CJ Redwine at Parnassus, where they set up this beautiful display. Thank you, Parnassus!
